Bruno Rumpal Sportsmanship Award (Boys)
- This Award is given in honor of Bruno Rumpal who was a member of the PVSOA from 1950 to the time of his death in 1970. He served as President of the PVSOA from 1954 to 1956.
Bill Kolodziey Sportsmanship Award (Boys)
- This award, established in 2004, is given in honor of Bill Kolodziey, a long time member of the PVSOA, past president, past two-time Jimmie Downie Award winner, past Larry Briggs winner and current PVIAC Commissioner.
Carl Erickson Sportsmanship Award (Boys)
- This award, established in 2004, is given in honor of Carl Erickson, a member of the PVSOA since 1956, past Larry Briggs winner (’77), past player – an official who helped shape officiating to its present high standard.
Bob McIntyre Sportsmanship Award (Girls)
- This award is given in honor of Bob McIntyre, a charter member of the PVSOA who played professional and semi-pro soccer.
John Kurty Sportsmanship Award (Girls)
- This award, established in 2004, is given in honor of John Kurty, a member of PVSOA since 1952, past president, past Larry Briggs winner, and past high school and college coach.
Benny Santos Sportsmanship Award (Girls)
- This award, established in 2004, is given in honor of Benny Santos, a member of the PVSOA since 1959, past president, past Jimmie Downie winner and past Larry Briggs winner.
George E. Russell Most Value Player Award (Boys Division I)
- This award is given in memory of the former principal of Ludlow High School who served on the Western Mass. Soccer Tournament Committee for many years and was also responsible for the organization of the State Soccer Tournament as we know it today.
John Kalloch Most Value Player Award (Girls Division I)
- This award is presented in honor of John Kalloch, a charter member of the PVSOA who served as president of the PVSOA and the New England Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Assoc.
Henry O. Holley Most Value Player Award (Boys Division II)
- This award is presented in honor of Henry O. Holley who was principal of Monson High School for more than 35 years and was an early supporter of Western Mass. Soccer.
Robert C. Smith Most Value Player Award (Girls Division II)
- This award is presented in honor of Bob Smith, member of the PVSOA who was an active official from 1954 to 1974 and served as president from 1960 to 1962.
Dave Grieve Most Value Player Award (Boys Division III)
- This award is presented in honor of Dave Grieve, former commissioner of the P.V.I.A.C., past President of PVSOA, New England Intercollegiate Soccer Officials and the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials.
Stan Bernatowicz Most Value Player Award (Girls Division III)
- This award is presented in honor of Stan Bernatowicz, a Life Member of both The National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association and The Pioneer Valley Soccer Officials Association.
Jimmie Downie Award
- This award is presented in honor of Jim Downie, a charter member of the PVSOA and its first president.The recipient of this award is an official who has put a tremendous amount of energy into becoming the “best”. They maintain integrity, neutrality, respect, sensitivity, professionalism, discretion and tactful- ness. They master both the rules of the game and mechanics neces- sary to enforce the rules, and shall exercise authority in an impartial, firm and controlled manner.
Paul Bogan Service Award
- This award, established in 2004, is presented in honor of Paul Bogan, a member of PVSOA, past Jimmie Downie winner, past Larry Briggs winner, past President, Interpreter and Athletic Director. It is presented “for service and dedication to the Pioneer Valley Soccer Officials Association.”
Letters Of Commendation
- Beginning in 1979, the PVSOA began recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the game of soccer within their community.
Larry E. Briggs Award
- Larry E. Briggs award is given annually by the Pioneer Valley Soccer Officials Association to the person who exemplifies the high standards and contributions to soccer over a long period of time that Larry Briggs stood for.
